Sydney Co-housing invites you to join us on a walking tour of three Inner West housing co-ops. Come along to see co-operative living in action!

We will learn about each co-op’s history, their operations and meet some residents. This tour is a fantastic opportunity to learn about, and from, real working communities. 

Please feel free to join us for all or part of the day.

About the Co-ops

Stucco

Stucco provides affordable, self-managed student housing for low-income Sydney University students. Referred to as ‘Stuccwits’, its forty, ever-changing, residents continually shape and reshape this highly democratic co-operative. 

Emoh Ruo

Emoh Ruo has been a working co-op since 1995, when it was one of the inaugural projects of the Department of Housing’s Local Government and Community Housing scheme. Residents come from all walks of life, with many working in the arts.

Ningana

Founded by squatters who discovered and lived on the premises, the Ningana Housing Collective is one of the few housing organisations that provide affordable housing specifically for single people on low to moderate incomes.
